The Vancouver seawall was the beautiful early morning setting for the 2nd Annual Canadian Foundation for Infectious Diseases (CFID) Bug Run that took place at this year’s Annual AMMI Canada CACMID Annual Conference in Vancouver. Nearly 50 enthusiasts braved the early hour and joined together to run, jog or stroll the 2.5/5km course prior to attending their first session on Saturday morning. Nearly $10,000 was raised from this event and will be put to very good use in supporting our funding initiatives, including merit awards, summer student research awards and pilot grants. CFID is committed to using 85% of all funds raised to directly support research programs.
